Description

Fishing

Fishing is one of the five Gathering Skills in the game, but it has a unique gameplay mechanic. I was the main UX designer for this feature. The basic steps of Fishing are as follows, and each step has its own gameplay mechanics:

  • Casting
  • Hooking
  • Reeling

Additionally, several auxiliary features had to be designed for Fishing:

  • Baits
  • Getting into a fishing mode
  • Equipping a fishing rod
  • Fishing hotspots
  • Skill progression

While I did not handle the visual design of this feature, it was taken care of by our team’s talented visual designer.
